Superb recreation of 'The scream'!
I saw that original version in Oslo some 16 years ago, it made me buy a book about all of Munch's work!

Excellent impression and you got my vote!

Thank you. I started off doing recreations to get used to using oils. Mondrian, Van Gogh (unfinished), Munch, and Dali (unfinished). Just ones I liked. I periodically work on these between my wet-on-wet paintings.

The original is tempura on cardboard? Huh! I always thought it was oil. Another added benefit about this event is that we are learning about new painting and learning more about paintings we’ve already hear about! Great interpretation, I like the vivid colors.

Wow you did a good reproduction of this painting. I'm not a fan of this artist. I love the colors and movement in the swirls, reminds me of Van Gogh.

Lilikins, there are actually multiple versions of The Scream. Two are pastel on cardboard (1893 and 1895), one is oil, tempera and pastel on cardboard (1893) and one tempera on cardboard (1910). There were also lithograph versions.

Great job done here! Learning from old masters has incredible value to growing one’s skills. I also did not know there were few versions! Thanks for sharing.
